The Job: The garage was the concluding work of a major project to restore a Victorian house in the Southern Highlands to its former glory. Although it was a new-build, the client wanted it to be the perfect accompaniment to his elegant house and its breathtaking setting.
Our approach: After exploring ideas and hand-drawn sketches with the client, he decided upon a grand design for his garage.
It would be situated in an expansive gravel forecourt, with a wide stone drive wide sufficient for four cars, and a door for each. The long building would be of racing green pine, featuring four traditional windows which complemented the style of those we’d manufactured for the house. It would have a natural slate roof, crowned by a graceful clock tower.
For efficiency, the various parts were created in our Doune workshop by our joiners and glaziers, and then taken to the site for quick assembly by our construction workers and roofers.
We hope you like the finished product as much as we do! Perhaps somewhere James Bond might park his Aston Martin when he visits our neck of the woods?
What the customer said:
We do laugh about it: while Keysquare have delivered a splendid restoration of a grand old house, it’s invariably my wonderful garage that visitors comment on first!
